I actually would say it's more unlikely that there was not a few core people involved .... Was there a few core people that kept VTD'ing posts and posting in regards to Z1? Probably, because they felt strongly enough about it. Do I think that Seedy got a bunch of the cali guys together for beer to discuss battle strategy? No. Did Z1 come together and create accounts and make a coordinated effort to VTD? Yes. Do you see the difference? does everyone really believe that random members of tt.net society got so pissed that they took the time to continually delete Z1's classified post because they have and continued to sell AMS non manifold products ?? Yes. Why? Because it takes what? Ten seconds or less to VTD something when you're already browsing that section? Huge time expenditure there. They just must of had rotating teams on set schedules watching the classifieds using super space radar. There is no way a bunch of unrelated people took ten seconds out of their day to VTD a couple posts when they were browsing the site anyway. That's just inconceivable. deleted threads didn't happen to Coz or Z1 for selling Labree after the very public exhaust design / downpipe threads between Labree and SZ
It didn't happen to Powertrix on suspension stuff
It didn't happen to TOM for the 2.5 intercooler piping 2 things. 1. None of those events caused as much drama as this has (even the downpipe deal was smaller than this) and 2. Guess nobody thought of it. I remember when I saw the first ads to be deleted I thought "Huh, didn't even think about that." Did you? I am not condoning Russell's actions ..... personally, I would have handled it a bit differently .. but I have seen how this forum works over the past 10 years
to Greg's own admission .... since he believes a core does exist ... not to far a stretch to see them collude together .. to the core "golf clap" ...you did as a group what no single invidual could ...... Again: the same people doing the same thing without planning going on or coordination between them is not the same as people coming together with specific purpose and strategy
